Would You Like to Participate, Help Out, Take a Class?
September 12: various start times
Countywide CERT Exercise
Mission College, Santa Clara
They heard about Campbell CERTs dominating skills exercises so we will be dispersed among the other participants! What a great chance to network with new people and see how other cities do things.
Participants will be given a scenario and then be sent out to respond to the disaster using their tools and quick wits- and each other. If you are all about it, signup before registration closes August 31!
September 19: 9:00-2:45 pm
EOC Net Drill for Hams
Sunnyvale
This exercise is designed to practice mobilization, deployment, and demobilization of amateur radio operations. The activities are varied and have been designed to provide fun and education while, at the same time, developing experience with operating according to the standard procedures required for emergency operations. You will operate much like we would during a real activation. You will need to be prepared to operate based on the assignment you have signed up for, be able to program your radio when given a new frequency, have all the necessary go-kit forms available, and operate per the Performance Standards and Best Practice and your training.
Registration and more details are here.
September 26: 9:00-1:00 pm
