About Us
We are you!
Campbell Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) is a 501(c)3 Nonprofit Public Benefit Corporation.
We have over 250 trained volunteers, reporting to nine command posts within our community. Through CERT, these volunteers will serve as First Responders until police and/or fire personnel are able to respond and assist your neighborhood.
Our Story
The mission of Campbell CERT is to bolster city-wide disaster resilience and build teams of neighborhood volunteers trained, organized, equipped, and responsive to any major emergency.
Campbell CERT has teams of trained first responders, equipped and ready to help, should the need arise. In the event of an emergency, CERT members will be deployed by the Campbell Police Department to assist our neighbors throughout the City of Campbell.
CERT members are trained by the Santa Clara County Fire Department (SCCFD) using curriculum developed by the Federal Emergency Management Association (FEMA). The CERT program includes twenty-one hours of extensive classroom and hands-on training. Please visit our CERT Academy section for more information.
Campbell CERT members are allocated in nine active teams in the following neighborhoods: Campbell Village, Central Campbell, Downtown, Hacienda, Hamann Park, Pruneyard Dry Creek/Union Ave, San Tomas, San Tomas West, and White Oaks
If you live or work in the City of Campbell (or adjacent areas) and want to help or assist our community in the event of a disaster, please sign up for the next CERT Academy training session. The life you save may be your own.
