First Wednesday Skills & Drills:

New Campbell Library

Join the cool kids on the first Wednesday this month in the upstairs Community Room at the incredible new Campbell Library. This month's class will offer two opportunities to be better prepared on a personal level- build out your new CERT binder with the updated SOPs and docs, and/or get the official ShakeOut prep class ahead of the drill. Please bring your CERT backpack, note-taking materials, and your name tag if you have it!

November 14: morning through lunchtime

Campbell CERT ShakeOut Exercise

(Your neighborhood)

Signup here to register TODAY! A citywide CERT mock activation will spark each neighborhood to run their own check-ins, rapid damage assessment (RDA), ICP setup, and deployments. After a small group debrief and cleanup, this exercise will culminate at a local food establishment for the large group debrief.

Remember, drills aren't about being perfect. They're about discovering what works, identifying what needs improvement, and building the confidence to respond effectively when the unexpected happens.

November 15: 9:00-1:00 pm

Farmers Market tabling

Run by Hamann Park team

SCCFD has announced the Winter CERT academy dates and Campbell is up first again in January- let's get the word out and fill those seats! Big thanks to the Hamann Park neighborhood for adopting a Sunday this month. (Note: the last Sunday of each month is not available.)

Once a month

Neighborhood Radio Checks

Each Campbell neighborhood

These monthly checks are organized at the neighborhood level to iron out communications protocol in the event of an activation. Contact your team lead to help start this up if it isn’t currently happening. It takes a village.
