What is CERT?

The Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) program trains local volunteers in basic disaster response skills. Members work together to support their communities and assist emergency services during and after disasters.

​

CERT Academy Training

Training covers basic search and rescue, disaster medical operations, fire extinguisher use, cribbing, damage assessment, radio communications, hazardous materials awareness, emergency organization, and disaster psychology.

Who can participate?

These academies are open to community members (ages 18+) who live or work in Santa Clara County.
